Carl’s Jr. went on a quest today to deliver Steven Spielberg one of its “SpielBurgers,” and while the filmmaker said the fast food chain’s Charbroiled Sliders are “pretty good” he doesn’t want them named after him.
Earlier today, the official Carl’s Jr. Twitter account posted:
After chronicling the adventure at Amblin on Periscope, Carl’s Jr. posted the following video and said, “Welp. Just got booted from [Amblin Entertainment]. Obvi must have been some sort of misunderstanding. Bummer!”

Shortly thereafter, Carl’s Jr. posted the following image and said, “Couldn’t get in to see Steven, but we left a note on his car! Fingers crossed!”
Not long after, a video from Spielberg was posted on the official Amblin Entertainment Twitter. “It’s recently come to my attention that Carl’s Jr. wants to rename the charbroiled sliders ‘SpielBurgers’ and they’re pretty good, but I’m passing. Cease and desist. You can’t do it. Sorry guys,” he said.

Carl’s Jr. retweeted the post shortly thereafter and said, “OMG Spielberg likes our Charbroiled Sliders! (He’s not down with SpielBurgers but we’re fine with that).”
