New Series from BoJack Horseman Creator Coming to Amazon

Premiering in 2019.

Amazon is getting its first half-hour animated comedy series, and it’s from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg.

The Hollywood Reporter reports Amazon has given a straight-to-series order for Undone, co-created by Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy. The series, which “explores the nature of reality,” will premiere on Amazon Prime in 2019.

The story follows Alma, who gains a “new relationship with time” after getting into a near-fatal car crash. With her new abilities, Alma sets out to discover the truth about her father’s death. Alma will be voiced by Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) and Angelique Cabral (Life in Pieces) will voice Alma’s younger sister.

Amsterdam-based studio Submarine and the Austin-based Minnow Mountain will handle the animation, with Dutch artist Hisko Hulsing (Montage of Heck) overseeing the production design.

In related news, Netflix renewed BoJack Horseman for Season 5. For IGN’s thoughts on the series, read our review of Seaosn 4, which we think contains “some of the series’ best material in an occasionally uneven season.”
