The Incredibles 2 is getting two tie-in comics, with one exploring the Parr family’s domestic life.
Entertainment Weekly reports the first comic, Incredibles 2: Heroes at Home, follows Dash and Violet doing housework while their parents Bob and Helen go grocery shopping. However, their superpowered baby brother Jack-Jack turns simple housework into total chaos.
Incredibles 2: Heroes at Home, described as an all-ages graphic novel, is written by Liz Marsham and illustrated by Nicoletta Baldari.
The second comic is a three-issue miniseries titled Incredibles 2: Crisis in Mid-Life! & Other Stories, and it contains two two parallel stories. The first one is Crisis in Mid-Life!, which follows Mr. Incredible fighting the supervillain Bomb Voyage who wants to ruin a new submarine dedication ceremony.
The second story is Bedtime Story, where Mr. Incredible tells Jack-Jack a story from his glory days, one that Dash and Violet have never heard of before. The series is written by Christos Gage and Landry Q. Walker, and illustrated by Gurihiru, J.Bone, Andrea Greppi, and Roberta Zanotta.
Both comics will be released later this year, while The Incredibles 2 opens in theaters on June 15. For more on The Incredibles, read why we think the first film remains one of Pixar’s best and check out the full voice and character list for the sequel.
