A Quiet Place Sequel Already in Development

In news that will surprise nobody, a sequel to this year’s unexpected smash horror hit A Quiet Place is in development at Paramount Pictures.

“We’re already working with these guys on a sequel,” studio chairman Jim Gianopulos told exhibitors at CinemaCon (via The Wrap).

In a previous interview with Fandango, A Quiet Place co-screenwriters Bryan Woods and Scott Beck said there was a lot more to explore in its world. “There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer,” Beck said. “So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell. It’s just really, at the end of the day, who are the characters in this and what does this situation mean to that dynamic?”

A Quiet Place, which was made on a production budget of $17 million, had the second biggest domestic opening of the year so far. We said A Quiet Place “delivers B-movie thrills with legitimate chills” in our review.
